The Ruckenborough Archive
Find a forgotten town through found artefacts
The Ruckenborough Archive
Ruckenborough is a north-east Yorkshire town, surrounded by hills and removed entirely from linear time. There is a lake so deep you can hear the ocean and a bookshop so tall a gust of wind should knock it down. You can get the perfect cup of tea and an antique deer skull at Grandma's Tea Emporium or join the Neighbourhood Watch with their binoculars on the hill. Unfortunately when you leave, through the Devil's Daren't railway tunnel, you will find your memories of the town fade and drift away. Ruckenborough is real, and it sure felt real while you were there, but now you've left you're not even sure you have ever heard of it.

This archive is a collection of objects that have been found outside of the hills. They are parts of the town that have escaped. Taking frequenters trips to and from the hills and piecing together the fragmented stories and memories I present to you the town of Ruckenborough in the comprehensive form of documentation that has existed beyond the city borders.
